Urbanist from the National Autonomous University of Mexico. She has complementary credentials on urban design from the Aalto University, Finland, and in Cycling Mobility Planning, from the University of Amsterdam. In 2020 she was awarded the Diversity Scholarship to attend the Global Challenges in Transport: Oxford Leadership Programme. For over nine years she has transformed her passion for cities and sustainable transport into her everyday work.
She collaborated for six years at the Institute for Transportation and Development Policy and later she joined the Mobility Ministry of Mexico City. Recently, as consultant for the Center for Urban Sustainability of Costa Rica, she was involved in a Gender-Inclusive Climate Action project, developed for the cities’ network C40. Currently, she is part of the NGO Vital Strategies, where she coordinates the urban mobility area in Guadalajara for the implementation of the Bloomberg Initiative for Global Road Safety. She enjoys commuting by public transport and cycling around the city.
