Our first year of operations

We have reached our first year of operations. Look at our achievements to date and what the future holds for us

Dear colleagues, bikeNcity is celebrating its first anniversary. A year ago, we founded this mobility and public space consultancy with two main targets:

  • Give technical assistance to small and medium cities, with the same hardships as any metropolis
  • Generate multisectoral and interinstitutional processes towards setting up public policies

In a year of operations:

We have participated in the implementation of the bike-sharing system of Sinaloa, called Muevete Chilo Sinaloa, along with the Ministry of Sustainable Development of Sinaloa. In February, the system will reach its first year of operations in Mazatlán, and thanks to this, the system has finally expanded to Los Mochis and in the next months to the capital city, Culiacan.

We contributed in publishing the study “Cities for mobility: best practices in Mexico” along with the German Corporation for International Cooperation (GIZ) and the consultancy CIVITA .

We worked with the Universidad del Valle, assisting them in developing technical, legal and financial components for the bike-sharing system of the city of Cali.

We were part of the launch event for the network Women in Motion México, biding for more women taking the lead in the sustainable agenda in our country.

We are also glad to announce that we will collaborate with LOGIT, in order to give shape to the bike-sharing systems for the cities of Monteria, Cali, Bucaramanga and Bogota, cooperating hand by hand with C40 Cities Finance Facility and Despacio.

We are compromised to give assistance to governments, companies and organizations sticking to their technical and financial capabilities. The challenges are big, but our experience, passion and love for sustainable mobility and public spaces are bigger than them.

Thanks for being part of this!
